Les derniers travaux de Bernard Gortais (aquarelles sur carton Arche) mettent en relation le hasard et la création. « A l’origine, une ligne simple traverse l’espace… puis se rompt quand l’espace est divisé en fragments. Des millions d’agencements sont alors possibles, il  faut s’arranger avec les morceaux épars. La composition garde la trace de l’unité perdue, sans toutefois la révéler. Mais la perception des solutions qui n’ont pas été choisies induit une fragilité dans la nouvelle composition. Arrangements avec le hasard et choix, c’est la vie. » Il a réalisé de nombreuses expositions à Paris dont la dernière en 2015 à la Galerie Keller. En 2013, il expose une installation numérique sur un tapis de capteurs interactifs, décor de la pièce « De l’autre côté de la mer », par la compagnie théâtrale Gazibul.

In 2013, he exhibited a digital installation on an interactive sensor mats, room decoration « On the other side of the sea » at the Gazibul Theatre Company. In 2011 his paintings were exhibted at the Galerie 14, Toucy France.
