Samar Yazbek, écrivaine
Née en 1970, Samar Yazbek est originaire de Jablé en Syrie. Elle a publié quatre romans dans son pays. Elle est également l’auteur de Feux croisés, un témoignage engagé et poignant sur les premiers mois de la révolution syrienne paru en 2012 chez Buchet-Chastel. Réfugiée à Paris avec sa fille depuis l’été 2011, elle anime un blog très actif de soutien à la révolution. Elle vient de publier Les Portes du néant, un récit des moments qu’elle a passés entre 2012 et 2013 auprès des rebelles syriens.
Born in 1970. Samar Yazbek is originally from Jablé, Syria. She published four novels in Syria. She is also the author of A Woman in the Crossfire: Diaries of the Syrian Revolution, a committed and poignant testimony of the first months of the Syrian revolution published in 2012 in Haus Publishing. Living in Paris with her daughter since the summer of 2011, she writes a very active blog in support of the revolution.
